Pregnancy Brain — Two Geriatric Pregnant Gals
Tuesday Oct 07, 2025
Tuesday Oct 07, 2025
This one’s a little different from my usual Excelsior! episodes. It’s a throwback to when I was pregnant — and so was my friend, Dani Lo! We decided to hit record and just chat about what it’s really like being first-time “geriatric” moms-to-be (yes, that’s the term they use, and yes, we laugh about it a lot).
It’s raw, funny, and very real — two friends talking about pregnancy brain, cravings, body changes, and all the weird, wonderful emotions that come with growing tiny humans.
And the wild twist? We ended up having our baby boys on the same day! 💙

The Reel Scott Seekins
Thursday Sep 25, 2025
Thursday Sep 25, 2025
This episode is extra special to me. Originally recorded in 2023 for my former podcast We’re Over Here Now, it captures a side of the legendary Minneapolis artist Scott Seekins that most people never get to see.
While many know Scott for his iconic presence in the city’s art scene, few realize just how much he loves nature, especially fishing and snake hunting (strictly for observation, never harm). Since Scott doesn’t have a car, I’ve had the joy of taking him on countless fishing trips over the years, and this recording takes you along for the ride — literally.
Recorded in real time on one of our fishing adventures, this episode feels like you’re right there with us, listening to Scott share stories about his passion for fly fishing, his lifelong fascination with snakes, and even a few memories about keeping them as pets.
Whether you’re a fan of Scott’s work or simply curious about the man behind the art, this episode offers a rare, intimate glimpse of who he is when he’s away from the city — just a guy, some water, and a whole lot of wonder.
Enjoy the journey, and cast a line into the world of The Reel Scott Seekins.

From my earliest experiences behind the camera to the ever-changing landscape of photography today, we explore what it means to make a living in this industry and how we continue to adapt and grow as artists.

Brandon Puterbaugh Loves Tacos!
Tuesday Oct 01, 2024
Tuesday Oct 01, 2024
In today’s episode, Britleigh sits down with Bandon Puterbaugh, owner and founder of Charged Fitness and Rehab, to explore his unique approach to fitness and injury rehabilitation. Bandon’s journey began while he was a US Marine deployed in Afghanistan, where he became a certified personal trainer. After returning home, he worked as an exercise physiologist, helping patients recover from severe conditions like stroke, traumatic brain injuries, and spinal cord injuries. His passion for doing more sparked the creation of Charged Fitness, a full-service training and rehab center designed to get to the root cause of physical issues and help people live their best lives.
Britleigh first connected with Bandon when he hired her for headshots, and she was immediately fascinated by his method, which uses electricity to accelerate injury recovery. In this episode, they discuss how this innovative treatment works and how Bandon’s “Reset” session helped Britleigh improve her sleep and connection with her body.
This episode was recorded at Britleigh's new studio, The 412, a space she is excited to share with you. Don’t miss out on this inspiring conversation!
